Spencer Park

W.A.L.T Write an information report that informs the audience.

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….
  • I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.
  • The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
  • Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.
  • A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.

Spencer Park

Last Friday, Ako Ngatahi, Room 1, 2 and 3, went for a trip to visit Spencer Park. Most people went on the bus, but some people went in cars. The  teacher called out A to D and we would get a number 1 to 4. We went to see the beach, the playground, and we went for a lagoon walk.
First we went for a lagoon walk. A lagoon is like a pond but bigger. We saw a lot of Bird. I was with Mr Scott there was a bird watch. so the bird’s. When you go up in the bird  watch you can see the whole lagoon while some of the group's go up in the bird  watch the other groups will have morning tea. We had to be quiet so we didn’t scare the birds away.
