Solar System

How the universe started
People have said that the universe started with a big bang. But I think that there was a big star and it was to big then it just blow up. There are lot’s of name for planets like Jupiter, Mars, saturn, the sun the moon, Uranus, venus, Mercury, Neptune, Earth.

Now let's talk about the stars there are millions and millions of stars 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars or you can say a (1) with (24) zeros after it.

Jupiter
Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun and the largest in the Solar System.

Saturn
Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second-largest planet. 0o

Uranus
As people have heard Uranus has being tipped over on its side as you can see in this photo and here is another photo of Uranus tipped over Uranus is know as a gas giant. Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun. It has the third-largest.

Neptune
Neptune is the eighth and farthest known planet from the sun in the solar System.

Earth
Earth is the third planet from the sun the only object in the Universe known to harbor life.

Venus
Venus is the second planet from the sun.

Mars
Mars is the fourth planet from the sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System after Mercury.
Black hole
Black holes are very dangerous. People say that there is a black hole in the middle of our Milky way. Planets Asteroids and comets can be sucked up maybe making the black hole bigger. Once you are in a black hole you may never get back out. Nobody knows where black holes lead but I think they lead to danger.
Thank you for reading my Report I would like it if you live a comment. bye for know

Atlantis mystery wow

W.A.L.T create a model that shares something we have learnt about our mystery.

Ako Ngatahi have been learning about some mysteries and trying to solve them. My group  is doing Lost City of Atlantis. In my group is Kea Bailey and I but instead of doing the land ring and the water ring instead we did how Atlantis was destroyed. We were going to do paper mache but we all ready painted on it. Me and Kea started to the paper mache it did't work as we planned. We had to repaint the paint on the wave because we started on the wave. I think that it took us a week or 2 to finish the painting about how Atlantis was destroyed. Here are some photo's. Good Bye

I will love it if you could leave a comments.

Exploring Blogs

We are learning to create a positive digital footprint.

We often share personal information when we are online. The people we share with could be our friends and family or people we don't know. We need to make smart decisions about what personal information we share online.

W.A.L.T Write an information report that informs the audience.

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….
  • I use an opening statement that explains the subject of the report.
  • The opening statement is followed by sentences that describe the event; what you saw, what you did, how you felt, what you learnt.
  • Each paragraph focuses on a different aspect of the topic; travelling, the beach, the lagoon walk, playground.
  • A general statement about the topic usually rounds off the report.

Spencer Park

Last Friday, Ako Ngatahi, Room 1, 2 and 3, went for a trip to visit Spencer Park. Most people went on the bus, but some people went in cars. The  teacher called out A to D and we would get a number 1 to 4. We went to see the beach, the playground, and we went for a lagoon walk.

The Present ever

In the past weeks our class (Ako Ngatahi) were writing a short story about a video titled “The Present”. It was a story about a boy who got a present and it was a puppy. After he discovered that the puppy only had three legs.

Here is the video.

W.A.L.T: Write a narrative

Success Criteria
I know I will be successful when….
  • The title is suitable for the text.
  • The orientation tells who the story is about, and when and where the story happened.
  • The complication describes a problem and explains what happened next.
  • The resolution explains how the problem was solved.

The present

One morning I was playing on my x-box.  My mum come home with a present. She opened up the blinds then.

I opened the present it was a puppy. It was so cute because it had big brown eyes. I looked at it’s legs  I saw that the puppy had 3 legs. I threw the puppy on the floor because it was annoying me. Because he was distracting me from my game but I kept playing my game. Then he found a red ball under the desk. He run and bumped into the desk then he went under the desk and got the ball. He started to play with the ball. I watched him. I paused the game,  then he grabbed the ball and gave it to me. I felt bad because I had been mean to him. I picked up the ball and put it in my pocket. We went outside and played catch. By Aroha The End.
